Chamber Staff

The Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce and Visitor & Convention Bureau is a nonprofit association of businesses and organizations that work together to build a healthy, robust economy in the Santa Maria Valley.  Under the direction of our member-led Board of Directors, the Chamber has a great team of professional staff members who serve the daily needs of the membership.

Glenn came to the Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce in July 2014. He brings nearly two decades of experience and leadership to bear in the areas of leadership, organizational excellence, and partnership development. In addition to his most recent role as the President and CEO of the Visalia Chamber of Commerce, he has professional experience with nonprofit business organizations in Utah, California and Nevada. Glenn brings with him to his new position professional experience in economic development, tourism, and convention and event planning.

In May 2011, Terri was hired as the Finance Manager for the Chamber of Commerce.  She is responsible for all accounting and business management.  Because there is a staff member with the same name, Terri Oneschuck is referred to as ‘Terri O’.  Terri O is also the Chamber Liaison for Business Committee & our Board of Directors.

Jennifer joined the Chamber of Commerce team in February, 2006. In her current role, she leads the Chamber’s Visitor & Convention Bureau activities, including tourism and group marketing programs for the community.   Jennifer is responsible for establishing and promoting the Santa Maria Valley as a premier destination for leisure, recreation, and group events.  Jennifer is also responsible for supporting group tour operators, meeting planners, and special event coordinators in ensuring their visits to Santa Maria are successful.  She is the liaison to the VCB Tourism Marketing District.

Molly joined the Chamber of Commerce team in February 2016. Molly’s primary responsibility is to coordinate the public relations and marketing efforts of the Chamber and its various programs.  Molly manages the Chamber’s marketing campaigns, online presence, social media, and various communications and publications.

Cara Martinez – Membership Manager

Cara joined the Chamber of Commerce team in January, 2008. Cara is responsible for membership development and retention for the Chamber. Cara focuses on building relationships with new and existing members and ensuring they understand the benefits and services available to them.  Cara serves as liaison to the Ambassador Committee.

Alex has been working for the Chamber of Commerce since 2016. Alex plays a lead role in organizing the Chamber’s ongoing member and community events.  Alex is responsible for event and meeting planning, logistics, and operation.

Terri Prouty – Group & Visitor Services

Terri has been working for the Chamber of Commerce since 2007. Terri serves as the initial point of contact for groups bringing events to our community and coordinates the Special Projects Grant application process. She serves as liaison with the Santa Maria Police Department where she has volunteered for over 10 years.

Patricia Horta – Administrative Support Coordinator

Patricia joined the Chamber of Commerce team in February, 2011. Patricia is responsible for incoming calls and information requests.  She is also responsible for processing registrations for Chamber events and assists with processing and recording of all payments to the Chamber. Patricia also approves submitted events for our online events calendars. She also assists with inquiries pertaining to chamber luncheons and  chamber events.
