The Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Your People Professionals to provide employers an opportunity to access harassment prevention training to effectively train employees and supervisors to meet compliance obligations by January 1, 2020!
We will be hosting a 2hr Supervisor Harassment Prevention Training on October 15th 2019.

California lawmakers have responded quickly to high visibility sexual harassment claims and the #MeToo movement by expanding harassment training requirements. These changes impact virtually all employers in California.
Effective January 1, 2019, California employers with 5 or more employees are required to provide 2 hours of sexual harassment prevention training to supervisors and 1 hour of training to nonsupervisory employees before January 1, 2020. Training for all supervisors and employees must be completed during the 2019 calendar year.* (Minimum count of "5" employees includes seasonal and temporary hires as well as independent contractors. Must count all employees no matter where they are located)
