The Northern Santa Barbara County United Way will be holding their 13th Annual Mayors’ Ball – A 60th Anniversary Celebration - on Saturday, October 12th, from 6:00 p.m. to 10p.m. at the beautiful Santa Maria Country Club.  This year’s anniversary celebration is to express gratitude to our community, our partners, and our leaders for their support.  Through these partnerships our programs continue to seek its vision to build stronger communities by providing opportunities for people to improve their lives in the areas of Education, Financial Stability, Homelessness and Improved Health.
Eddie Taylor, Chief Executive Officer of NSBC United Way, states "Northern Santa Barbara County United Way fights for every person in every community. By providing a Free book every month thru the Imagination Library and improving reading levels of students thru Power Readers, children are better prepared to enter kindergarten and more successful in school. By training community volunteers and students to become IRS certified thru VITA, low-income individuals and families can get their tax returns prepared for Free.  By connecting individuals experiencing homelessness with the resources that address their needs thru Home for Good, individuals can become housed. Join us at the Ball and hear more about these incredible programs, how they impact our community and how YOU can get involved.”
The Ball will be an elegant evening at the Santa Maria Country Club with a gourmet dinner, music, and dancing.  Formal attire is preferred.  The honorary Master of Ceremony will be Ed Carcarey of Emerald Wave Media.  Returning this year to entertain us will be Steppin’ Out.  We welcome once again, our Mayors from Santa Maria, Lompoc, Guadalupe, Solvang, and Buellton who will be attending the Ball to show their united support because change doesn’t happen alone, and to live better, We Must Live United!
