Additional Funds to Respond to the Pandemic
A proposed substantial amendment of the City’s Fiscal Year 2019-20 Annual Action Plan will be presented virtually to the City Council at its regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 17th via Zoom.  The substantial amendment reflects the recommended use of additional COVID-19-related Federal funds (CDBG-CV) in the amount of $965,080 under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.  This funding is in addition to the $958,272 in CDBG-CV dollars that were allocated to the below-mentioned projects back in August.  Collectively, the City will have $1,923,352 in CDBG-CV funding to help prevent, prepare, and respond to the pandemic.
The proposed substantial amendment to the Fiscal Year 2019-20 Action Plan will increase the amounts that the originally approved CDBG-CV funded projects received.  The proposed amounts which include the newly allocated CDBG-CV dollars are:
Public Services / Emergency Rental Assistance - $739,500
    Capital / Public Facilities Improvements - $800,000
    General Administration - $383,852
The proposal is online at www.cityofsantamaria.org/caper.
