  • Chamber’s Role in the Energy Watch Partnership heads into the 10th year

In 2009, the Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce became the administrator of the Santa Barbara County Energy Watch Partnership. Since 2010, this successful program has assisted over 400 businesses in northern Santa Barbara County become more energy efficient through its Direct Install program. This includes numerous non-profits helped through the Chamber’s non-profit grant program.

In addition to businesses and non-profits assisted through the program, the Santa Barbara County Energy Watch Partnership has assisted north county municipalities through building upgrades since 2010. The Partnership has also assisted in outreach to communities to let everyone know the benefits of saving energy.

The Santa Barbara Energy Watch Partnership is funded through PG&E and SoCalGas and includes the cities of Santa Maria, Guadalupe, Solvang, and Buellton, as well as the unincorporated areas of Santa Barbara County.

The Chamber looks forward to continuing its successful partnership with the Energy Watch Partnership into 2019.
