    Chick-Fil-A Leader Academy

The City of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department, the Mayor’s Task Force on Youth Safety, and Enos Ranch Chick-Fil-A launched the Chick-Fil-A Leader Academy in Santa Maria with an energetic kick-off on Wednesday, September 25th. Students in 9th through 12th grades convened at the Abel Maldonado Community Youth Center to learn from Joey Hickox, Enos Ranch Chick-Fil-A owner, about the leadership program, its curriculum, and the impact project students will coordinate to benefit the Santa Maria community. Chick-Fil-A donated savory refreshments from its restaurant, located at 605 East Betteravia Road.

Chick-Fil-A Academy will focus on teaching leadership principles to local teens and giving them an opportunity to apply what they have learned via a community impact project. Students in 9th through 12th grades are encouraged to apply online at https://app.chickfilaleaderacademy.com/apply. Applications will be accepted through Monday, October 14th.

The Mayor’s Task Force on Youth Safety seeks to reduce youth violence with safe and healthy opportunities for youth.
