  • Colonel Mastalir to Deliver State of Vandenberg Air Force Base Address

    The Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce and Santa Maria Chamber of Commerce invite their membership and the public to an informative luncheon for the State of Vandenberg Air Force Base on Monday, March 23rd, 2020 at the Pacific Coast Club on Vandenberg Air Force Base. 

    The much anticipated address will be delivered by Colonel Mastalir, Commander of the 30th Space Wing and Western Launch and Test Range of Vandenberg Air Force Base, and will highlight the air force base’s accomplishments of 2019 as well as discussing the upcoming changes in 2020, such as; an update on the introduction of the United States Space Force put into effect by President Trump in December 2019, the multiple commercial space companies like SpaceX and Blue Origin, among others, soon to utilize Vandenberg’s infrastructure, and the upcoming launch schedule that is expected to rise in the 3rd and 4th quarters of 2020 and continue into 2021.

    Attendees must check-in at the VAFB Visitors Center to receive a base pass at 11:00 am and will be expected to provide proof of auto insurance, vehicle registration, and a valid driver’s license. Check-in will begin at 11:30 am at the Pacific Coast Club, 758 Nebraska Avenue in Vandenberg Air Force Base. The address will begin promptly at 12:00 pm over lunch catered by the Pacific Coast Club.

    Cost for the event is $25 for members of the Lompoc Valley, Santa Maria Valley, Buellton, and Solvang Chambers, and $35 for prospective members. Registration is due no later than 4:00 pm on Friday, March 6th and attendees must supply valid driver’s license information and their date of birth at the time of registration.
