“Eggsplore” Our Parks Spring Egg Hunt

The City of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department is hosting “Eggsplore” Our Parks Spring Egg Hunt at 12 different City parks. This egg hunt is designed to encourage community members to safely enjoy the parks and create family memories over the holiday weekend. “Eggsplore” Our Parks Spring Egg Hunt will be Friday, April 2nd through Sunday, April 4th and is free for all ages.

Participants may enter to win one of 14 non-cash prizes by searching in select parks for large, two-dimensional hidden egg signs. There is one hidden egg sign per park. There will also be one “Golden Egg” sign hidden at one of the parks. When found, the participants may submit a picture to qualify to be entered into an additional “Golden Egg” drawing. Anyone who visits all 12 park locations and submits pictures from each park, will be entered in a special “All Parks” drawing. All entries are due on or before Sunday, April 4th. On Wednesday, April 7th, winners will be randomly selected from all entries received.

To complete an entry, visit a participating park and take a photo next to the decorated egg. Post the photo on social media (Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter) using #smrecandparks. Look for the “eggs” at Rotary Centennial Park, Russell Park, Jim May Park, Preisker Park, Grogan Park, Minami Park, Pioneer Park, Tunnel Park, Rice Park, Armstrong Park, Los Flores Ranch and Veterans’ Memorial Park.
