    Help Design a New Community Sports Park
     
    The City of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department is requesting the community’s input on design ideas for a new community sports park. The Recreation and Parks Department is applying for grant funding via the Proposition 68 Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program to fund the development of the potential park. The community will have five opportunities to assist with the selection of recreation amenities and safety features for the park:
     
    Friday, October 16th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Santa Maria Fairpark, located at 937 South Thornburg Street. No registration required.
     
    Saturday, October 17th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Minami Park, located at 600 West Enos Drive. Register at bit.ly/SMSPMNBV.
     
    Sunday, October 18th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Buena Vista Park, located at 800 South Pine Street. Register at bit.ly/SMSPMNBV.
     
    Monday, October 19th from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Minami Park, located at 600 West Enos Drive. No registration required.
     
    All aforementioned sessions are limited to 15 minutes. No more than 10 participants will be allowed per session. State and County social distancing and sanitation protocols will be followed. Face masks are required to attend. 
     
    A one-hour videoconference is scheduled for Wednesday, October 21st from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. for residents who prefer offering input virtually.
