  • Hunter Hayes to perform at Santa Barbara County Fair

SANTA MARIA -- If you need “One Good Reason” to attend the Bud Light Concert series at the Santa Barbara County Fair, we’ve got it for you: Hunter Hayes. The multi-platinum selling recording artist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist will entertain audiences on Thursday, July 16 at the Fair.
The “Wanted,” “One Good Reason,” and “Heartbreak,” singer has an impressive list of accolades under his belt buckle.
He’s received more than 50 award-nominations and wins, including five GRAMMY© nominations, and six gold- and platinum-certified singles including his massive 5x multi-platinum crossover hit “Wanted.”  That single sold more than 3.5 million copies making Hayes the youngest male act to ever top the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. In 2012, he won the CMT Award for New Artist of the Year, along with three BMI awards. On top of all that, he’s achieved nearly 2 billion on-demand career streams globally.
“Hunter Hayes has built a strong country music presence and has incredible talent. We’re thrilled to be able to include his incredible show in our Bud Light Concert series lineup,” said Richard Persons, CEO of the Santa Maria Fairpark.
The Louisiana native began his career in childhood with several appearances on national television shows. He was gifted his first guitar at age 6 by actor Robert Duvall and by age 7 he played for former President Bill Clinton at a White House lawn party.
Since those early days, Hayes has become a powerhouse performer, proficient at more than 30 instruments. And now, he’s just released the brand-new album Wild Blue (Part I), the first-part of a three-part trilogy of albums.
His successes along the way led to Billboard declaring him a prodigy “leading country's youth revolution.”
He’s been a headliner on tours with the likes of Dan + Shay and Kelsea Ballerini and supporting tours for Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, and Lady Antebellum, among others.
Hunter Hayes fans can catch him on Thursday, July 16, at the KCOY Main Stage during the Santa Barbara County Fair. The concert is free with paid admission. Seating at Main Stage concerts is available on a first-come basis.
The Santa Barbara County Fair takes place July 15-19 at the Santa Maria Fairpark.
