    Money Matters Classes


    Sunday, September 29th is the deadline to register for Money Matters Classes for teens. The City of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department will be hosting these classes for students in the 7th-grade though high school, beginning Tuesday, October 1st and through Thursday, November 7th. 

    The classes will occur every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., at the Abel Maldonado Community Youth Center,  600 South McClelland Street.

    Money Matters consist of classes such as: Budgeting and Living Within Your Means, Saving and Investing: Put your Money to Work, Planning for College, and Consumer Debt. Space is limited to 20 participants and classes will conclude with a graduation at the final session. 

    Teens can register online at www.cityofsantamaria.com/register or at the Recreation and Parks Department located at 615 South McClelland Street.
