• Music lovers and friends of the Santa Maria Philharmonic: The Annual Membership Drive is underway

The planned 2019-20 Philharmonic Season was ambitious, opening last July with Pops! On the Lawn, and producing the first ever free Fly Me to the Moon Family Concert in January.  And of course there were the glorious subscription concerts from the Santa Maria Philharmonic Orchestra musicians and soloists. In April, the pandemic called a halt to our plans.

We are looking ahead, learning to adapt and reshaping ways we provide music to the community during these challenging times. We need your help to move forward.  Many of the grant and corporate funding sources we count on for ongoing support have experienced hardship as well so are unable to support us as they have in the past.  Our concerts will likely have restrictions as to how many people can gather in one place, so audience size will be restricted, resulting in less ticket revenue for a while.

Now, more than ever, your membership and donation support is vital to the success of the SMPS.  You have been so generous in the past; we hope you will continue to show your belief  in this organization through your generosity now and in the future, to help the Phil play on. Thank you in advance for your continued support and generosity.

We all need the joy of music in our lives, especially during these troubled times. The SMPS has weathered hard times before – we are resilient, and with the help of Friends like you, we will weather this as well.  We look forward to when we can Listen - Local - Live together again.
