    Good News
Community Support made all the difference for Joaquin, a three-year-old cat who had been hit by a car. A Good Samaritan brought him to a Buellton veterinarian, and once he was stabilized, he was transferred to a local partner. Through our robust partnership, Santa Barbara Humane was able to take in Joaquin to provide the care he needed. Joaquin had significant bruising, road rash, a tongue laceration, a small forearm fracture, and a broken canine tooth. The Santa Barbara Humane medical team provided him with pain medications and removed the painful tooth. When a local family came into the shelter and adopted a kitten named Sriracha, they also fell in love with Joaquin, who needed another day to heal from his injuries. The very next day, they returned to add Joaquin as the newest member of their loving family.

    Adoptions
Hi! My name is Bingo and I'm a six-year-old male Boxer who is eager for a home. I'm a ton of fun to be around. In fact, when I get excited to see you, my whole body starts to wiggle with joy! I think I'm pretty smart, too. I'm housetrained and crate-trained, and I know a couple of commands. Because I love all the attention on me, the shelter team tells me I would do best as the only dog in a home without any kitty siblings. Will you email adopt@sbhumane.org to make an appointment to meet me?
