PCPA Presents: The Circuit at the Santa Maria Public Library

Join the City of Santa Maria Public Library on Friday, March 6th at 4:00 p.m. in the Altrusa Theater as PCPA’s Outreach Tour Presents Francisco Jimenez’s The Circuit. This free program is open to the whole family.  Seating is offered on a first come, first served basis.

This true story follows Pancho and his family through the California crop “circuit,” from Guadalupe to Fresno, and Santa Maria to Bakersfield.  As they move from one labor camp to the next, his family members define their lives with faith, hope, and determination in their pursuit of the American Dream.  This stage adaptation, by Leo Cortez, explores themes of language barriers, and acceptance, within the migrant field worker experience.

The Library is located at 421 South McClelland Street. The Library’s hours are 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Questions may be directed to the Library Youth Services desk, (805) 925-0994.
