    Registrations for Starfish Swim Lessons 


    The Paul Nelson Aquatic Center is now open and the City of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department invites the community to register for Starfish Swim lessons which are now available online at www.cityofsantamaria.org/registration

    Week-long swim lessons begin the week of July 27th and are available with 45-minute sessions.

    The new Starfish swim curriculum offers several classes including StarBabies™, StarTots™, Starfish Swim School® and Starfish Stroke School™, Tweens, Adaptive classes and lessons for adults. Exercise classes for adults include Shallow Water Fitness and Deep Water Walking. Program fees for City residents is $35.00 and $43.50 for non-City residents.

    Please note that a parent or a responsible adult caregiver (that lives in the same household) must be in the water with each student for StarBabies™, StarTots™, Starfish Swim School®, Starfish Stroke School™ and Adaptive classes. For the safety of the swim instructors and the participants, instructors will be teaching from the deck. Participants that are not potty trained must use a swim diaper. Proper swim attire must be worn by everyone entering the water.
