  • Santa Maria Valley Chamber Advocates Voter Registration during Employee Voter Registration Week

The Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce they will be participating in Employee Voter Registration Week, taking place September 21-25. This is an important initiative that encourages private sector citizens to register and vote in the upcoming 2020 elections.

The elections this year are important, as we will have the opportunity to vote for elected officials at the local, state, and federal level including the President. It is important to remember that the individuals we elect or re-elect have the ability to shape the policies that directly impact our industry, organization, and communities. We cannot take our decision for granted.

In order for our voices to be heard and to have a say in who represents us, we must register to vote and cast our ballot in the upcoming general election. Visit santamaria.com/advocacy for a number of election resources including how to check your voter registration status and register to vote, as well as local, county and state election information.

During Employee Voter Registration week and leading up to the November 3rd election, the Chamber will be sharing these resources through their various communication platforms, and encouraging our community to participate in the upcoming election by registering to vote and educating oneself on candidates and propositions on this year’s ballot.

“By participating in and recognizing the importance of Employee Voter Registration Week, our hope is that our Santa Maria Valley community will be well represented in the polls on Election Day,” said Glenn Morris, President and CEO for the Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce. “We can register, vote, and make a difference this election.”
