    What’s Cookin’ Santa Maria Cookbook Club


    The City of Santa Maria Public Library is pleased to announce its new Cookbook Club, What’s Cookin’ Santa Maria. The video conference cookbook discussion will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 31st. 

    Patrons interested in participating in What’s Cookin’ Santa Maria may register on the Events Calendar at www.cityofsantamaria.org/Library or by calling the Public Library at (805) 925-0994.

    The cookbook club will be discussing The Nightmare Before Dinner by Zach Neil. The official cookbook of The Beetle House restaurant is for the Tim Burton fan or Halloween enthusiast. Patrons are invited to choose a recipe to make from the book and share the results with the group. The Nightmare Before Dinner is available on Hoopla with your Library card.

    The Santa Maria Public Library’s main library, Guadalupe, Los Alamos, and Cuyama  branches are open for sidewalk pick-up service, and the Orcutt library and the Bookmobile are open for Grab and Go service. Other in-person services are closed due to the Local Health Emergency declared by the County.  The Library also offers 24/7 digital resources including downloadable eBooks, movies, magazines, and audiobooks. Online databases and programs, email reference service, veterans’ resources, updates about the Library’s operations and more are available online at www.cityofsantamaria.org/Library.  Patrons may also apply for a free Library card online.
