Industry Tour : Allan Hancock College | Industrial Technology Complex

Industry Tours are organized to support, provide information for, and raise awareness of industry and manufacturing in Santa Maria. Factory tours, special events and timely topics are presented each month.

This month our host will be Allan Hancock College | Industrial Technology Complex

The state-of-the-art Industrial Technology Complex was completed in fall 2014. The $18 million facility was funded by Measure I, a $180M bond passed by community voters in 2006. The Complex features more than 35,000 sq. ft. of labs, classrooms, and offices. The Complex is home to the Architectural Drafting, Auto Body, Auto Technology, Electronics, Engineering Technology, Machining and Manufacturing Technology, and Welding Technology program.

Tour highlights will include:

Two CAD labs, each featuring 32 stations and industry-current software, laser cutters, and printers
Automotive lab with separate powertrain and engine labs
Auto body lab with frame straightening and measuring systems and two heated, downdraft paint booths
Forty (40) welding stations for MIG, TIG, and stick welding; a plasma cutting station; robotic welder
And more!

Please wear closed-toe shoes (flats for women – no high heels, please).
