The Santa Maria Philharmonic is pleased to announce the Seventh Annual Youth Showcase. This is a recital by audition, for young musicians age 8-18. These recitals have become a very popular performance opportunity for young musicians. Past recitals have displayed some of the most astonishing and accomplished young musicians on the Central Coast.  
 
Auditions: Sunday January 13th, 2019, between 2pm and 5pm. 
Recital: Sunday January 27th, 2019 at 3pm.
 
All instrumentalists and singers ages 8 to 18, who are currently studying privately, are invited to audition. Performance must not exceed 10 minutes. Those performing a solo work must have music memorized. Those performing an accompanied work may use music. Students may audition with multiple pieces, and judges will select music to be performed.  An accompanist will be provided for the audition and recital, and for one rehearsal the day of the audition. If students wish for additional rehearsal time, these arrangements can be made with accompanist, and will not be paid by SMPS.

Please complete the application form and submit with a non-refundable registration fee of $20. Checks should be made out to SMPS.
Application form must be postmarked no later than January 4th, 2019.
You will be notified of your audition time by January 7th, 2019.
Recital: January 27^th, 3pm, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church at 4380 Orcutt Rd.
