    Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week, Saturday through Wednesday
    Compensation: $18.50-$22.00 per hour, plus sales commissions and tips – Non-Exempt

    Foxen is a family-run vineyard and winery celebrating its fourth decade of business in Santa Barbara County, and is
    looking for a Tasting Room & Hospitality Lead to join our team to support our tasting room operations.

    Our Tasting Room & Hospitality Lead is at the forefront of our tasting room guest experience, managing guest tasting
    reservations, seating, and table service flow; coordinating service section coverage and daily tasting room operations;
    and sharing Foxen’s story and educating guests on Foxen’s wines. This role is perfect for someone ready to work in a
    fast-paced and customer-service focused environment, who enjoys leading by example and problem-solving, and who
    excels in seeing the big picture and prioritization while multitasking.


    Responsibilities:

    • Champion the daily tasting room guest experience by welcoming and seating guests; educating guests on current operating policies; educating guests on Foxen’s story, wines, and wine clubs; serving wine; selling wine tastings, wine, and merchandise; and stocking wine & merchandise.
    • Manage tasting reservation system front-end (customer-facing) and back-end (system setup).
    • Organize service section coverage.
    • Be a leadership point-of-contact when Tasting Room Manager or Assistant Manager is unavailable.
    • Ensure tidiness and cleanliness of tasting room.
    • Coordinate and perform tasting room operating procedures including daily inventory counts and cash register opening/closing.
    Qualifications:
    • Must be 21 years of age or older.
    • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand/walk for extended periods of time.
    • Minimum of two years customer-service work, preferably within the wine or restaurant industry.
    • Minimum of one year experience with Tock reservation system and/or WineDirect point-of-sale system.
    • Exceptional customer-service skills, including a want to “say yes” and accommodate.
    • Must work well in a team environment.
    • Detail-oriented, organized, motivated, comfortable taking initiative to solve problems and de- escalating difficult situations.
    • Professional in appearance and demeanor.
