Family Care Network, Inc. (FCNI) was founded in 1987 by current CEO, Jim Roberts, with the purpose of creating family-based treatment programs as an alternative to group home or institutional care of children and youth. FCNI’s guiding mission is “to enhance the wellbeing of children and families in partnership with our community.” The organization currently provides 17 distinct programs in five service divisions, including: Resource Family Services; Family Support Services; Early Intervention and Prevention Services; Transitional Age Youth Services; and Community-Linked Services. FCNI leads the industry with a successful placement rate for all programs of over 90% as compared to the industry standard of approximately 60-70%. Because of the success and efficacy of FCNI's Intensive Therapeutic Foster Care programs, the agency has been sought out for its consultation services by six counties and forty private providers in California. In 2014, FCNI became the first agency of its kind on the Central Coast to receive accreditation from The Joint Commission, a national accreditation agency with the highest standards for providers serving in the behavioral health field.
