Art Exhibit at the Public Library

Now through the end of July, the Shepard Hall Gallery at the Santa Maria Public Library is exhibiting the works of Central Coast artist Marilyn Dover Benson. Just in time for summer, the exhibit entitled “Realism versus Abstract: What is Your Passion?” gives patrons a visual array of beautiful, vibrant pieces.

Shepard Hall serves as both a community meeting space as well as a venue for art. There are no designated gallery viewing hours. To view artwork in the gallery, please check the Library’s online calendar, or visit the Library at 421 South McClelland Street.

Library hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. All Library patrons are required to follow the “Library’s Covid Safety Plan” including wearing a face covering at all times (except for children under 2) and maintaining six feet of distance from others.
