• Chamber Releases Statement In Response To Recent Protests

We acknowledge that injustice exists and see the heartbreak that continues to impact our nation and community.Black and minority members in our community deserve our solidarity. They also deserve both our voice and our commitment to action in condemning injustice and advocating for a community that values all.

Black lives matter. Our community is stronger because of our diversity. To all impacted by systemic racism within our country, please know that we stand by you and we will do our part to ensure that you are heard, protected, and celebrated by all.

Our mission commits us to be a catalyst, a convener, and champion for a stronger Santa Maria Valley. As we look ahead, we will identify opportunities to engage directly with those who seek to build a local economy and community that works for everyone. We will start by ensuring that we create opportunities to listen and learn as we work towards a future of inclusion and empathy. We invite those who wish to share ideas about how we do that to reach out to our president & CEO at glenn@santamaria.com.

We condemn violence and threats in all forms and call for all to listen more, seek solutions, and to express their frustrations and demands for justice in peaceful, constructive ways.
