    City Council to Return to In-Person Meetings

    The Santa Maria City Council is pleased to welcome community members back to resume in-person meetings in the Council Chambers at City Hall, starting on Tuesday, July 20th.
    During the pandemic, City public meetings transitioned to a virtual format to maintain transparency and ensure physical distancing for participants and members of the public. The public may continue to choose to participate in Council meetings virtually via Zoom.
    “We look forward to interacting face-to-face with our residents again,” Mayor Alice Patino said. “We really want the public to attend, be informed, and participate in decisions that impact our city.”
    Attendees will self-attest they are in compliance with current County Public Health Department orders regarding face coverings. Masks are not required for those who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The Chambers has a public seating capacity of 120 persons.
    City Council meetings will continue to be broadcast live on the City’s website, YouTube Channel, and the government channel 23 on Comcast. The City Council agendas are published on www.cityofsantamaria.org, and the City Clerk’s Office staff is available to help at (805) 925-0951 extension 2306 or by email at  cityclerk@cityofsantamaria.org.
    City Hall is not yet reopened to the public because of a construction project.
