City of Guadalupe and the Energy Watch Partnership hold Joint Community Event
The City of Guadalupe and the Santa Barbara County Energy Watch Partnership held its second annual community outreach event on the evening of June 26, 2018, which was held in the gymnasium at City Hall.
All residents and businesses in attendance were provided an energy efficiency overview by the Partnership, PG&E, SoCalGas, Staples Energy, American Eco, the Green Business Program of Santa Barbara County and empower Central Coast. On the municipal side, Cruz Ramos, Guadalupe City Administrator provided details on a variety of city topics. Also included were reports from Police and Fire, Public Works, Waste Water, Planning, the county’s Waste Management and Animal Services.
Refreshments were provided by the Partnership, and after the presentations, the attendees were invited to visit tables where they can talk to the utility companies, agencies and departments and learn more about available programs. The Partnership provides a number of programs to assist businesses, municipalities, and access to residential programs.
In Guadalupe, the Santa Barbara County Energy Watch Partnership has upgraded the lighting throughout the offices in City Hall, its departments and its public safety facilities at no cost to the city. The Partnership has also assisted the American Legion building and the Guadalupe Senior Center.
