Free Family Cowboy Poetry Event at the Santa Maria Public Library

Round up some cowboy duds and head to the City of Santa Maria Public Library for a rousing good time at the fourth annual Cowboy Poetry Event, hosted by the Santa Maria Library Foundation, on Saturday, May 18th at 2:00 p.m. in Shepard Hall.

Western Writers of America member, Mike Prince, will discuss his award-winning writing and life on the ranch, then sign some of his books.  Cap off the fun with a cowboy-themed craft, and presentation of awards for the Kids Cowboy Poetry contest, where winners and participants will be recognized for their creative entries.

This program is sponsored by the Santa Maria Public Library Foundation.

The Library is located at 421 South McClelland Street. The main Library’s hours are 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays, and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays.  The Library is closed on Sundays.
