    While you may not be able to Listen, Local, Live at this time, exciting classical music from the musicians of the Santa Maria Philharmonic , your local, hometown professional orchestra, is just a click away! The SMPS First Fridays at Four series features an exciting YouTube performance by orchestra members in local landmarks and locations.

    Episode 9: Playing Together - Two Clarinets and Bassoon
    Brought together a special trio recorded at the Moxie Cafe. Artists Caroline Tobin (clarinet), Nancy Mathison (clarinet) and John Dilworth (bassoon) gathered during the pandemic (outside) to play together, giving them opportunity to practice some unusual and special pieces.     There may be no Rose Parade or Game in the Rosebowl, but never fear, the Santa Maria Philharmonic is ready on New Year’s Day with the sixth episode in our recorded First Fridays at Four series and our First for 2021. Presented by John Astaire, SMPS percussionist extraordinaire, is a festive array of musical offerings from composers including Andresissen, Ogino and Ruders.
