Los Alamos Library Quilt Exhibit Highlights Love

The Los Alamos Library and the Friends of the Los Alamos Library are pleased to announce the current art installation of Quilts: Shared Stories and Expressions of Love, on display now through April, 2019.
Each of the 10 displayed quilts from local residents, has a unique story shared through interviews by each quilt owner. Cynthia Carbone Ward, a contributor to the show, stated, “These quilts are labors of love, imbued with love, given to others as an act of love, and speak of love to all who listen.”
Please join a free reception at the Los Alamos Branch of the Santa Maria Public Library on Wednesday, February 13th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. to celebrate the show’s opening.  While at the reception, view the wonderful quilts and stories on display, and check out the corresponding quilting book display. Come see everything there is to love about your local Library.
The Los Alamos Library’s hours are 2:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesdays through Thursdays, 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Fridays, and 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays.  The Library is closed on Sundays and Mondays. The Los Alamos Library is located at 405 Helena Street.
