  • Santa Maria Natural History Museum prepares to reopen with limited service next week

The Santa Maria Natural History Museum will reopen to patrons with limited service hours next week after over a year of closure, with full service expected to resume in October, museum officials said Wednesday.

On Monday, museum staff will offer a pizza lunch for the public at the Museum Native Garden along with a sneak-peek tour of the museum exhibits, museum founder Virginia Souza said.

Following the reopening celebration on Monday, the museum will be open for limited service hours from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, according to the museum newsletter.
