    The Santa Maria Valley Chamber is currently hiring and is looking to fill the position of Tourism Coordinator on our awesome team! 

    A little about you…
    As the Tourism Coordinator, you’ll have the opportunity to promote and facilitate the services of the Santa Maria Valley Chamber & Visitor Bureau to event and meeting planners, to attract visitors to our community, and to ensure that the visitor experience exceeds expectations.   You are someone who knows and loves the Santa Maria Valley and loves helping others come to love it too.  You are the ultimate team player and enjoy collaborating with other team members and clients.

    You thrive both in working in the office on the computer and making phone calls to discover new opportunities as well as meeting clients once they are in the community.  You understand the importance of outstanding customer service. You are goal oriented and have a proven track record of success.

    If you are organized, a team player, personable, a creative problem solver, love the Santa Maria Valley and thrive in providing outstanding customer service, you want to work with us.

    The Visitor Bureau is a division of the Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce.   We’re a nonprofit organization dedicated to impacting our local economy by bringing visitors – individually and in large groups - to the Santa Maria Valley.  Our job is to show the world just how great our community is, to bring visitors to our city, and ultimately to create jobs and make Santa Maria an even better place to be.     Note: This is a full-time, non-exempt position.  The Tourism Coordinator reports directly to the Tourism Director.
