    Youth Clay Play Packs

Beginning Saturday, May 1st, register with the City of Santa Maria Public Library for youth clay packs to make a masterpiece at home. Playing with clay is not only fun, but also beneficial for young learners. Clay can help improve dexterity, foster hand-eye coordination, and help develop problem solving abilities.

These packs contain air dry clay, paint, and sealer. Also included are ideas and instructions for clay projects; use the ideas for inspiration, or let creativity take over and build something new. Designed for ages 4 to 17.  Registration is required, one pack per participant please.

Register to pick up from the main Library by visiting the Library’s online events calendar at www.cityofsantamaria.org/Library or by calling (805) 925-0994.  Packs may be picked up at the Youth Services desk during Grab and Go service hours, May 1st through May 8th.  The main library is located at 421 South McClelland Street.

For branch Libraries, no registration is needed to pick up a youth clay pack. Packs may be picked up beginning May 1st, at locations in Cuyama, Guadalupe, Orcutt, Los Alamos and the SMPL to Go Bookmobile during grab and go hours.  There is a limit of one pack per child, while supplies last.
